What is Organizational Leadership?
Leadership is art of transforming human potential into reality, and it has never been one-size-fits-all. Frequently you hear that it is the art of influence, but that is a leader-centric view. The true story of leadership is that it is a complex system of actions and interactions between leaders and followers designed and deployed for specific needs and outcomes.
Modern leadership practice and theory demand an understanding of the relationship between Leaders and Followers, though it does not dictate which leadership style or styles is necessary for which situations. Often, a particular business or industry follows the leadership style that was inherited from previous leaders. This static assumption of previous methods may not position your organization for turbulence in the market place, as the Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated for many firms. In addition to the need for leadership and organizational resilience, the adaptation of theory and practice to your specific organization, culture, purpose, vision, and mission needs to be continuously fine-tuned. That re-alignment or fine-tuning is what Organizational Leadership can do for you.
