Eastern University
PhD Student in Organizational Leadership

Eastern stated that: The mission of the Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Eastern University is to develop students who can conduct pioneering, rigorous, and interdisciplinary research that advances the understanding and practice of leadership in diverse organizational contexts.

I transferred from a DBA program to Eastern University's Ph.D. program in organizational leadership in August 2020. In my first year, I joined the International Leadership Association (ILA), which has found that "the world has a deep and pressing need for leadership." ILA's mission is to provide the environment, research, collaboration, and knowledge necessary.

My sub-specialization area is Business Leadership, and my research emphasis is Small and Micro Business Leadership. .

Liberty University
MBA - Business Leadership

My MBA degree at Liberty University was an MBA in Business Leadership. The leadership classes were part of the DBA program so they were taught at the doctorate level. While a student at Liberty, I took the opportunity to take leadership of the majority of the collaborate groups that comprise the bulk of the curriculum.

In addition to earning the degree, I was named Graduate with high distinction or gold medal recipient. Finally, I was also inducted into Delta Mu Delta, Mu Omega Chapter, business education's highest honor society.

Business leadership and research were primarily accomplished by applying existing theory to case studies, and in my case, to my wife and daughter's business, MAK. Topics such as Organizational Behavior, culture, leadership behaviors, communication methods, community action, sustainability, and profitability, and the standard MBA curriculum, were all subject to many live case studies.

Denison University
Physics

Denison University is proud of its Academic record and programs. I received a BS in Physics during my tenor there as an undergraduate student. Both the physics college and the university and its student government designed and provided a rich leadership development environment and practice.

While in attendance at Denison, I provided laboratory assistance in academic research, taught laboratory classes for non-science students, and tutored students in physics as a TA.

In addition to being a teaching and laboratory assistant to the physics college, I was active in student government through his various officer positions within a social fraternity, eventually becoming the President of Delta Chi my senior year. As the President, I, and the other officers, were responsible for the maintenance, repair, taxes, and debt of the fraternity property and buildings and stayed abreast of the local laws. As a consequence of my student government position, I also attended many national, regional, and university level leadership training programs.

Culver Academies
Leadership

Culver's introductory paragraph in their self-description is " Learning to lead. Leading to imageserve. Always by example," and thus it was when I attended high school there for four years, graduating as a Cadet Officer. In my Junior year, I was appointed to the regimental color guard and the chapel honor guard as a result of enacted leadership skills, behaviors, and attitudes.

During my four years at Culver, all students were in the US Army's ROTC program, which was deeply steeped in peers' experiential leading and even school-wide activities.

As it happens, during his Junior year, he also attained the rank of Eagle Scout after long life participation in scouting, filling patrol leader, senior patrol leader, and explorer scout leader while attending Philmont Scout Ranch.

Culver's mission was to prepare leaders for the world and gave me thousands of hours of experience during my time there.
