This is My Family
Anne and I were married after graduating from Denison University in 1979, and have lived in Connecticut ever since.
My daughter, Barbi McCoy, a resident of Massachessets, and my wife, Anne, own MAK, a nearly 30-year-old martial arts school to change the world through the power of their students' lives at MAK..
We own Gordon setters, which you can see on our Fuzzy Family page, and we are cat people. Barbi, Anne, and I have pursued Tang Soo Do and Kenpo Karate most of Barbi’s life, which you can see on my martial arts page.
We discovered in the mid-90s that we could change lives by teaching karate to children, teens, and adults. During Barbi’s time earning her Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology and Theology from Eastern University, she created the nation’s first two ½-year-old karate system, and we have been teaching from age 2 ½ to 70 ever since. Barbi has since earned a Master of Science Degree in Sports Management and is now pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology.
Anne earned her Bachelors of Arts in Economics, is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Charter Financial Consultant, Certified Insurance Consultant, and the best mom on the planet. You can read about my academic background by clicking HERE.
